DTW Electric Actuator
An electric actuator is a new type of electric execution mechanism, primarily composed of a motor, actuator rod, and control device. It is a novel linear execution mechanism capable of remote and centralized control. The electric actuator performs reciprocating motion within a certain stroke range. Standard strokes for general electric actuators are 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, and 400mm, with custom strokes available based on specific application requirements. Electric actuators can be designed with different thrust capacities depending on the application load, typically up to 6000N. The no-load operating speed ranges from 4mm to 35mm/s. Powered by a 24V/12V DC permanent magnet motor, the electric actuator converts the motor's rotary motion into linear reciprocating motion. It drives a set of linkage mechanisms to perform switching operations for dampers, valves, gates, baffles, etc. Using electric actuators as execution mechanisms not only reduces the need for air source devices and auxiliary equipment required by pneumatic actuators but also decreases the weight of the execution mechanism. Pneumatic actuators require a certain air pressure throughout the entire control operation. Although amplifiers with low consumption can be used, the cumulative air consumption remains significant over time. In contrast, electric actuators only require power when changing the control opening; once the desired opening is reached, no further power is needed. Therefore, from an energy-saving perspective, electric actuators have significant advantages over pneumatic actuators. They are suitable for remote operation and widely used in various sectors such as power, chemical, metallurgy, mining, light industry, transportation, and shipping for opening and closing dampers, valves, gates, material handling, and flow control. They are increasingly being used to replace mechanical hands, hydraulic valves, and减速 transmission mechanisms in automated devices.
